A New Environmentally Friendly Fountain Plaza – It’s going Green & Native!

The neighborhood submitted a grant proposal to the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) last fall and we won!  Our sewer district is investing in new infrastructure in many projects around the area in order to reduce the load on our combined storm and sanitary sewer lines.  The project will have the ability to now capture all of the rain run off and put much less stress on our sewer system and the planting of native plants will reduce the amount of on-going maintenance in the plaza.   This is a very similar project to the all ready completed City Garden and Grand Avenue Business District.  Being an environmentally-friendly company Four Muddy Paws is really  excited to see these “green” changes coming to our neighborhood.  Our 150-year old neighborhood is moving into the 21st Century!

Construction on this area is anticipated to be complete by June 2015.

New Entry Features Coming Soon to Lafayette Square!

We’ve had beautiful entry features to Lafayette Square at Jefferson & Park and Mississippi and Chouteau and now we’re getting entry features at all of the remaining entrances.  Very fitting for our historically significant Victorian neighborhood.

Here’s a new rendering of the entry features at Park Avenue and Truman Parkway:

Here’s the new rendering of the new streetscape on Park Avenue and Vail Place:

These projects should also be complete by June 2015.
