When I lost my dog a few years ago, I was devastated. Cooper and I had frequented Four Muddy Paws for a few years, so everyone there knew us. After Cooper died, I couldn’t even walk by the store, let alone go in. But when the staff learned of what had happened, they bought a lovely condolence card and not only signed it, but each person who worked there wrote a sweet note of remembrance to me. I still have that card and it means as much to me today as it did the day I received it.
You can buy food and toys and bones at a lot of stores around town. But you can’t buy the sort of friendship and caring that Jeff, Matt, Crystal, Robyn, Logan and everyone else who works at the store always show –not only to me, but to everyone who enters.
