2014 All About Pets Expo – Saturday, June 14 – 10 am – 6 pm
Hope Rescues, Found A Hound Rescue, Rico’s Rescue and Partners for Pets will offer mega adoption opportunities at the expo that takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Collinsville Gateway Center at One Gateway Drive in Collinsville.
Friendly leashed pets are welcome but organizers ask visitors to bring proof of vaccines.
The Cahokia Police Department K-9 unit show takes place from 2 to 3 p.m.; and Mitch and his amazing Frisbee dog will entertain from 4 to 5 p.m.
Baseball legend Jack “The Ripper” Clark, who played first base for the St. Louis Cardinals, will sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a $10 donation to one of the participating rescues.
Plus Four Muddy Paws will be there too!
Hope Rescues is a no-kill canine rescue in Godfrey. The 14-acre sanctuary contains a pond, wooded land and a 1-acre-plus play yard. The nonprofit’s co-founders Jackie Spiker and Kim Lee established the facility and organization operated by them and more than 100 volunteers.
The state-of-the-art Hope Rescues facility and sanctuary houses on average of 127 dogs, which are allowed to visit and run in the play yard in smaller groups on a daily basis.
