Opening in 2004, our original store moved to 1711 Park Avenue in Lafayette Square in August 2007. We’re very excited to be able to purchase and recycle a historic building, seeing the building come back to life. We’re committed to the rebirth of our city.
Just as we’re focused on helping our customers create a healthy and balanced life for our guests pets, we’re also focused on being good stewards of our planet earth. 
Four Muddy Paw’s support of clean energy will prevent 56,996 pounds of carbon dioxide, a leading greenhouse gas, from entering the atmosphere each year. This is the same environmental benefit provided by taking 4.7 cars off the road each year!
We’ve incorporated many earth-friendly designs in our Lafayette Square building. From energy-efficient HVAC systems, new thermal windows, full clean-air quality insulation, dual flush toilets, energy efficient lighting and forest-friendly bamboo flooring we’ve been conscious of our impact on our earth. We’ve used recycled materials in our design-scheme and chose low-voc paints for our walls. We also recycle. Our commercial dumpster allows us to recycle all 
of our paper, paperboard and cardboard. We even enter you into a drawing for a $10 gift certificate if you reuse a bag when you shop with us! We only have one world – let’s all take care of it!
Since we want everyone to enjoy our store – we’ve made our building 100% handicap-accessible! No stairs to deal with here. You can enjoy every inch of our store; even our self-service wash is handicap accessible! This is also a very important issue for our senior pets.
We opened our 2nd location in Edwardsville, Illinois in January 2009. Our new location features all of the great services we have in our original location.

Our modern yet natural space is the perfect shop where you’ll be able to wash your dog in style (starting at only $12!), schedule a truly professional dog or cat grooming appointment, pick up your nutritious all-natural pet food (or have it delivered for FREE!) or find that perfect new collar and lead.
We know what dogs want and have selected products that make their life (and yours) more enjoyable. Dogs come in many shapes and sizes and have various lifestyles so we have all of the fun toys, treats and supplies perfect for them. We have dog beds for dogs from 20 pounds to 200 pounds. We have products for both the Modern and Fashionable Dog as well as the outdoor Natural and Practical Dog. We love our cats too and are always searching for the latest fun cat toys, delicious and healthy treats as well as all natural cat foods. Our assortment is every changing – you’ll always discover something new!
